From January to July this year, Uzbekistan's textile exports increased by 112% year-on-year.


Uzbekistan Detailed Network reported on August 10 that from January to July this year, Uzbekistan's textile industry achieved US\$1 billion in exports, a year-on-year increase of 112%, through measures such as opening up new paths and markets and continuously developing new products.
 
Uzbekistan's textile products were exported to a total of 57 countries and regions worldwide, mainly to Russia (US\$394 million, accounting for 39% of Uzbekistan's total textile exports), China (US\$188 million, 18%), Kyrgyzstan (US\$139 million, 13%), and Turkey (US\$123 million, 12%). In addition to traditional markets such as CIS countries, Uzbekistan's textile exports also include countries such as Hungary, Slovakia, and Greece. Furthermore, with the support of the Uzbek Embassy in Kuwait, Uzbekistan achieved its first export to Kuwait this year.
 
At the same time, the export commodity structure of Uzbekistan's textile industry has been further optimized, with the proportion of finished products with added value, such as knitted fabrics and garments, increasing to 51%. New products such as protective masks and protective clothing have also begun to be exported. It is reported that Uzbek textile enterprises currently produce 6 million masks and 10,000 sets of protective clothing per day, and export them to countries such as Russia, Kuwait, Ukraine, Belarus, and Georgia.

In 2024, China's dyeing industry saw rapid export growth to ASEAN and RCEP member countries, exceeding the overall export growth rate. However, this growth was accompanied by a decline in prices. From January to December, China's exports of eight major dyeing products to ASEAN totaled 7.908 billion meters, a year-on-year increase of 12.14%, 4.61 percentage points higher than the overall export growth rate, accounting for 23.58% of total exports. The average export price was US\$1.19 per meter, a year-on-year decrease of 2.75%, 0.64 percentage points lower than the overall decline. Exports to RCEP member countries totaled 8.431 billion meters, a year-on-year increase of 11.35%, 3.82 percentage points higher than the overall export growth rate. The average export price was US\$1.17 per meter, a year-on-year decrease of 2.79%, 0.60 percentage points lower than the overall decline.
