The United States imposed a 10% tariff on goods imported from China.

On February 1, local time, US President Trump signed an executive order imposing a 10% tariff on goods imported from China, and also wielded the tariff stick at neighboring Mexico and Canada. The latest tariff policy came into effect on February 4.
On February 2, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce responded that China strongly disapproves of and firmly opposes this, and will take countermeasures to protect its legitimate rights and interests.
It is worth noting that the executive order signed by Trump this time canceled the US's "minimum" tariff exemption for small-value goods worth less than US\$800. This is expected to affect the sales of low-cost online retailers such as Temu and Shein, and weaken the global competitiveness of Chinese e-commerce.
Queries of Temu, Shein, and AliExpress on US websites found that they offer a large number of low-priced clothing, household goods, and electronic products, such as \$15 smartwatches and \$3 sneakers.
